A lovely time was had by all on our WI trip to Lesnes Abbey on Saturday 18 March. Even if it was a bit chilly and the skies were rather grey, the rain managed to hold off for our visit and although many of us knew of the site, few us knew much about its history. Chris Hawkins’ tour was fascinating – really interesting and informative. We were also treated to a very fine display of daffodils to lift our spirits and remind us that spring has indeed sprung!
