Run Lou Run

One of our members, Louise Barclay is running in 3 events to raise money for Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital. Read her story below and follow the link if you would like to sponsor her.

Over the next 3 months I will be running in 3 events:

London Winter Run 10k (9th Feb)

Richmond Park Half Marathon (8th Mar)

Brighton Marathon (19th Apr)

I am setting myself this challenge to try and raise some money for the amazing Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital.

Last year cancer came into our family like a sledgehammer as my mother in law (the wonderful Pam Barclay) was diagnosed with cancer. She has handled everything she has gone through amazingly and was (and continues to be) cared for by Guys and St Thomas’.

Watching someone you love go through something so horrible is heartbreaking and leaves you feeling utterly helpless. Given that Pam has handled everything she has gone though like an absolute warrior I thought I should make myself useful, dust off my running shoes and try and raise some money to help the massively under funded hospital that has been giving her such good care.

Thank you so much for visiting my page and any donations will make such a difference to this wonderful hospital that provides critical care and support for those who are continuing to fight cancer.

Lou xx
