Lunch with a view – October 2024

A group of 12 members of Lee Green WI and two friends visited City View Restaurant at Shooters Hill College.  We had a wonderful meal prepared and served by the students who all doing their NVQ levels 2 or 3.
The food was divine – a lovely lunch menu to choose from which included soup, spinach and feta parcels, port stroganoff, cod with patatas bravas, vegetable lasagne; followed by sticky toffee pudding, fresh fruit salad or a chocolate & dark cherry pot.  Some of us indulged in stunning mocktails as well as wine.  The meal was rounded off with coffee.  The cost of the meal is incredibly reasonable and well under £20.
It is lovely to support the students and to know that the gratuities that we left will be used for them to experience fine dining themselves.  I think we would all agree this is an important part of their training.
Jane will be organising another trip to City View, this time to sample the fine dining menu on Thursday 6th February 2025 at 6.45pm.  The meal will cost approximately £25.  If you would like to go please let Jane Verity know.
