Our March meeting – drumming with Avril Crane

A really fun evening of tub thumping, otherwise known as bucket drumming, with Avril.  Avril introduced us to the rhythms and different sounds we could produce by banging our buckets in different places and then swiftly had us making music, playing along to Princess Royal, a traditional Morris dance,  and the Wellerman, a traditional song about whaling from New Zealand. Much concentration and merriment shared by all!  Thank you Janice for organising such an enjoyable evening, and  many thanks also to our refreshments team and delicious cake bakers.

And if you’d like to listen to our music, click this link Princess Royal – the video file should then appear in your download folder,
