This month we welcomed back Richard Gregg and Mark Andrew for some vocal fun. After a few warm up exercises to get the best from our voices, Richard and Mark took us through a medley of songs from The Sound of Music as well as telling us little known and fascinating facts about the musical and the making of the movie. As our May meeting was also our AGM, we cantered through our update of annual business and review of the year. Our Committee remains unchanged for the coming year with Caroline Powell and Alison Hooper remaining as Presidents, June Clark as Treasurer, Jan Ford as Deputy Treasurer and Kay Dunham as Secretary. The other Committee members are Lucy Anne Bishop, Carolyn Bosworth Davies, Kay Hart, Janice Newport and Jane Verity. Fortified by a little tipple of sherry we ended the session with our annual rousing rendition of Jerusalem, the WI anthem.
