Happy New Year to all our members!

We had a fantastic year in 2018! We organised trips to amongst others, The Courtauld Gallery, Royal Hospital Chelsea, The Painted Hall. Community events included Manor House Gardens Festival and Lee Green Open Studios. Speakers covered subjects from writing plays, being on Great British Bake Off and how to improve confidence. In a Spin – end plastic soup!

Our 2018 WI resolution is to combat plastic pollution, especially ‘plastic soup’ from man-made microfibres which enter the sewage system from our laundry. Trip to Victoria and Albert Museum – November 2018

Another successful trip led by tour guide Hilary Gaster. This time through the Modern European Galleries at the V&A. We were transported through time from seventeenth to early 19th century taking in the baroque and rococo eras. We are hoping for another tour of the English Galleries next year. Continue reading
