We had a lovely trip to the Museum of Brands and their exhibition Adwomen in March. Following an introductory talk about the museum and exhibition we were left to explore. Highlights were the exhibition which linked nicely to the the talk given at the April 2024 meeting by Lizzie Broadbent, and the Time Tunnel where the many exhibits encouraged lots of “oh, gosh do you remember those” moments jogging memories of favourite toys, and familiar brands from our kitchen cupboards’. We had a lovely lunch in the garden on a sunny spring day and enjoyed a surprise meeting with Robert Opie, the museum’s founder and having a chat with him. A big thank you to Lucy Anne for organising such an enjoyable trip.
