Thank you Lucy Anne for a gold themed evening of gilding! Our Christmas trees and decorations were even shinier this year with the addition of the gilded stars and snails we made at our December meeting. We glued and brushed our way to success learning new words (skewings*) and having a jolly good chat as we did so. Thank you to Lucy Anne and her elves (Angie and Mary) who helped to ensure that we didn’t get stuck by gluing our fingers to our decorations! Thank you also to our Refreshments Team and Carolyn for adding some extra sparkle to our festive fizz this year!
“Thank you to everyone on the WI team who made last night so enjoyable and productive. I’m delighted with my star (and snail) and will treasure them!”
*Skewings – the bits of gold leaf that get brushed off when gilding and can be saved for reuse!
