We welcomed Julie Durston to our September 2023 meeting to talk about first aid. A really useful and practical session as Julie covered how to help if a casualty is unconscious and deal with bleeding and choking. She reminded us how to give CPR and showed us how not to be scared of using a defibrillator.
Just wanted to say what a splendid session it was last night. I really feel more aware of what I should do, even before dialling 999. A splendid follow up is our WI quest to track down and identify local defibrillators. I really felt that part of the session was so helpful in demystifying what they are and how we should use them. Thank you for organising a really clear practical session.
