LGWI had a fantastic year in 2015. In our meetings, we decorated cakes, learnt about geographic profiling, found out what it’s like to be a lady vicar, tasted wine (with curry) and sampled local cheeses. We also celebrated our centenary and had some fun excursions and activities including a very well attended barn dance. This year promises to be equally action packed (see the upcoming events page) and we hope you will be joining us. Membership runs for a calendar year and is great value at £37.50, though if you are completely new, you can try us out with a free first session. Our first session of the year is on Thursday 21 January and is tap dance and musical theatre with dance teacher Katie Durant. If you don’t have tap shoes, shoes with a low heel are OK, though preferably not rubber. Meeting is at Trinity School, Taunton Road SE12 and starts at 7.30pm. We hope you can come along and hopefully join us!
PS: If you have a Facebook account, don’t forget to ‘like’ our page. We are called Lee Green Women’s Institute. Many thanks.
