Cows, Criminals and a Cake – London City Walks – June 2025

Our lovely guides Jenny and Elaine led us through the hidden alleys and little known backstreets of Farringdon on this year’s popular London walk.  Home to London’s oldest meat market and soon to be the location of the new Museum of London, we heard about prisons, goldsmiths and body snatchers and on our way looked at some of the latest 21st  century architecture as well as two churches, and both connected with weddings! We also explored St Bartholomew’s Hospital and a beautiful pocket park, St John’s Park.

“Another great WI trip. Thank you for organising.  A fascinating City walk.”

” I really enjoyed seeing an area of London I didn’t know.”
