How we are celebrating the WI’s centenary

To mark the 100th anniversary of the WI, we are joining forces with Friends of Manor House Gardens on Saturday 19th September for a tidy up of the park and weeding of a section around the lake and helping in the community garden by Manor Lane.

Do come along and join them and get the Park neat and tidy for winter.

We will assemble at 11 am by the wooden gateway to the wild flower garden (near the Brightfield Road entrance). Please go to the assembly point to find out where you can help. We will work until 1.30pm.
At 1.40pm we will plant the WI  Centenary Celebration Oak Tree which will be followed by the raising of the Green Flag which the park has recently been awarded. This will be outside the cafe.

Wear suitable boots and gloves.Bring tools such as large and small forks, trowels and secateurs.
Litter picking equipment and bags will be provided.
There will be classic WI refreshments available for your efforts!
