We are welcoming Candy Blackham to our July meeting. Candy came from South Africa in 1970 and has lived mainly in London since that time. She has two ‘ologies’ – in musicology and psychology, taught at the Blackheath Conservatoire for some years and then moved into the non-profit sector working at the Wigmore Hall, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and the Courtauld Institute, amongst others. Along the way she acquired a camera and started a blogsite. Then Covid hit and life took another turn as Candy found a new way of giving something back to the area in which she has lived for so long.
Candy is going to share her enjoyment of some of the many green spaces in this part of London, some ideas from her walks around parks in Lewisham, Greenwich and Southwark and also some suggestions for local walks.
