Paul de Zylva, chair of QWAG (the Quaggy Waterways Action Group) will be helping us to get to know our local rivers – what they do for us and what we can do for them. He will be talking about how our local rivers have shaped our area – more than we might realise in our busy daily lives. He will also explain how efforts to restore and improve them is not only a good thing in itself, it also complements other aims such as reducing flood risk, bringing nature back, increasing physical and mental health, opening up new routes to explore, aiding learning and education, and much more besides.
