Influential Women in Lewisham – Our July 2026 Meeting

Date: July 16, 2026
Time: 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Location: Brindishe Lee Primary School, Effingham Road, SE12 8NA

We will be welcoming Becky Laxton-Bass from Women in London to our July meeting to tell us about some of Lewisham’s influential women.

Becky was born in London and is passionate about history.  Tour guiding seemed like the perfect job. Becky began guiding over 7 years ago whilst studying history at university and made it her full time job on graduation. The only downside was that she felt not enough women’s history was being discussed. So, in 2018 she launched Women Of London to challenge this. As the company founder she spends most of her time growing the company and managing tour bookings and requests. She still finds the time to host occasional tours and continue sharing the stories of women throughout history.

Join us for a tour with Ana Sutherland for a tour of modern architecture on Blackheath’s Cator Estate.  Sign up with Alison Hooper () or at the May meeting on Thursday.
