The Worshipful Company of Stationers and Newspaper Makers, a City Livery Company, was formed in 1403 to represent workers in the book trades. Members included booksellers who copied and sold manuscript books, limners who decorated them, suppliers of writing materials and book-binders. The Hall is a Grade 1 listed building dating back to 1673, built shortly after the Great Fire of London in 1666 and surviving the London Blitz. It has spectacular rooms, a hidden garden and historic documentary archives. The visit includes a private tour and tea/coffee and biscuits after the tour and costs £20 per person. Contact Kay Hart if you would like to come along. The Hall is a 5 minute walk from City Thameslink station.
