Providing a ‘virtual visit’ to Bexley covering the well-known houses: Hall Place, Danson House and William Morris’s Red House”.
Hazel trained as a Blue Badge guide for London and the south of England, a City of London guide and a London Borough of Camden guide. She is a volunteer guide at the British Museum, the National Trust (Red House), and Tate Modern. She has given many zoom presentations during lockdown, as ‘virtual visits’ to various sites, galleries and places of interest. This presentation looks at three historic houses – Hall Place, Bexley, Danson House, Bexleyheath, and Red House, Bexleyheath. As well as having interesting stories, these three sites provide a contrast in architectural styles: Tudor, Jacobean, Georgian and Victorian.
