As a number of objections and concerns have been received relating to the proposed development of the Leegate Centre, Lewisham Council is holding a meeting with local residents to enable an assessment to be made of the areas of concern before the application is considered by the Council’s Planning Committee.
The Council states that the aims of the meeting are to:
- Facilitate a better understanding of the proposals for interested or concerned individuals.
- Provide an opportunity for residents to ask questions directly to the applicant, with planning officers present to hear the discussion and take notes.
Please note that no decisions regarding the application will be made at the meeting. A summary of the meeting will be published on the Council’s website, and the application will be determined at a future Planning Committee meeting.
The meeting will be chaired by Councillor Eva Kestner.
The meeting will be held virtually on Microsoft Teams, and can be accessed by the following main link below:
Meeting ID: 350 328 182 842 5
Passcode: Ys3F5N8V
The meeting will commence with a brief presentation by the applicant team, providing an overview of the proposed development. The meeting will follow an agenda of the main themes of objection and an opportunity for local residents to ask questions. Due to time constraints, residents are asked to register their questions in advance. All questions will be directed through the Chair and answered by either the applicant team or a representative from Lewisham Planning Service, as appropriate. Unfortunately due to the number of objections received in relation to the proposed development it may not be possible to ensure that all specific questions are responded to individually but the Council says that it will endeavour to ensure that all main themes of objection are addressed.
If you wish to submit a question or questions in advance, please do so by 29th September 2025 via email to with the subject of the email as “LOCAL MEETING QUESTION: PLANNING APPLICATION REFERENCE NUMBER DC/25/140732”.
