Who knew volunteering would save me from myself?!
Our speaker this month is Rona McCandlish. Rona volunteers with the Prison Advice and Care Trust (Pact) at Belmarsh prison in Thamesmead as a Family Support Worker, where the experience of working with families and other visitors has transformed her life. She’ll introduce us to the wide-ranging services and opportunities Pact offers and share her journey as a volunteer. Rona and her work for Pact were featured earlier this year in The Guardian.
