BUCKINGHAMSHIRE SCIENCE DAYS – Buckinghamshire Federation’s Science & Society sub-committee has organised an Investigation and Discovery Day annually for the past seven years.  Previous speakers have included Dr Kat Arney, Dr Adam Kucharski, Professor Carolin CrawfordDr Mark Spencer, and Giles Yeo.  And talks have ranged from nanotechnology to Saturn and back; catching criminals with plants to the ocean depths; ‘revenge of the microbes’ to the science of tomatoes.  This year, there will be 3 online talks across 3 days:
– 9 March 2pm – Professor Chris Jackson from Imperial College An exploration of volcanoes, both young and old;
– 10 March 7pm – Jane Tubb, Geologist What modern plants can tell us about the amazing world of fossil plants;
– 11 March 2pm – Jo de Montfort, Engineer Renewable Energy How we can contribute to a sustainable future
