Our December meeting is on Thursday at Brindishe Lee and will kick off at 7.30 pm (doors open at 7.15).
We will be making bobble hat decorations for your Christmas tree led by our very talented craft specialist Janice Newport, and tasting festive fizz with our fabulous wine expert, Carolyn Bosworth Davies.
You need to bring a few things along with you:
- A piece of card seven and a half inches square, the thickness of a birthday card or cereal box is fine.
- A cardboard tube measuring one inch in length. A kitchen roll tube would be ideal.
- A pair of scissors
- A small short-stemmed wine glass or small tumble
- A Mug for your cuppa and a pound or two for our raffle.
Wool for the bobble hat will be provided but if you’d like to bring along a particular shade of wool to complement your themed Christmas decorations, do feel free to do so. The wool should be double knitting.
If you aren’t a fan of festive fizz there will be tea, coffee and cake available throughout the evening. Fizz tasters are also very welcome to kick the meeting off with a cuppa and a slice. Do come along in time to dive in before we start crafting.
Please check out Janice’s WhatsApp messages on Make Do and Meet from 29th November if you’d like to see a photo of what you should bring for the crafting.
This meeting is members only, but we will be welcoming visitors from the waiting list back in January.
Foodbank: If you can support the foodbank this month we would love a packet of festive biscuits. Whatever you choose would be perfect – chocolate, shortbread or fancy would all be fabulous, and thank you to everyone for your very generous contributions throughout the year.
