To mark the 100th Anniversary of the WI, our Lee Green Branch is joining forces with Friends of Manor House Gardens on Saturday 19th September for a tidy up of the Park and weeding of a section around the lake and helping in the community garden by Manor Lane.
Do come along and join them and get the Park neat and tidy for winter.

Assembly Point by the wooden gateway to the wild flower garden (near to the Brightfield Road entrance).
Time: from 11.00am through to 1.30pm.
1.40pm Planting of WI Centenary Celebration Oak Tree
1.50pm Raising of the Green Flag ( outside the Cafe)
Wear suitable boots and gloves. Bring tools such as large and small forks, trowels and secateurs.
Litter picking equipment and bags will be provided.

Bring Dundee cake or Christmas cake – could be a mini one – already iced (see below note)
· If people have mini rolling pins can I please urge them to bring along to save them having to wait to use and getting frustrated (nb not full size as these are difficult to work with).
· Ditto mats.
· Ditto cling film
· Bring any leftover fondant people may have for 3D stuff (we can fortify it).
· I will bring all sugar and decorating items. I will bring special decorating sugar, glue, glitter, wires etc. If people have their own things they would like to bring then equally fine. I will bring a load of my tools.
· Please bring own aprons.

Carolyn Bosworth-Davies will be rustling up a delicious Christmassy cocktail to keep us refreshed & uplifted! This is always a very popular meeting and one for which we need to plan in advance. So if you would like to come along in December (and we do hope you will!) please sign up on the booking sheet which will be available at the October meeting next Thursday, and also at the November (16th Nov) meeting. There will be a small charge for WI members of £5 per head (£10 for non-members) payable in advance, to help cover the costs.

Wendy is an experienced yoga teacher, qualified to Senior Level 2, who has been practising Iyengar Yoga for 35 years.
Wendy’s lively teaching style and infectious enthusiasm for Iyengar Yoga inspires beginners and more experienced students alike. Many of her students have themselves gone on to become teachers.
She says: “Students and friends often ask me how yoga has changed my life. It is impossible for me to answer that question – yoga is part of my life”.
